R v L – Junior Counsel in gangland murder by torture, manslaughter, kidnapping and preventing unlawful burial at Central Criminal Court.

R v V – One punch manslaughter. Defendant originally charged with murder.

R v S – Gang led robbery.

R v O – £12 million conspiracy at Heathrow to import 100 kilos of cocaine and 45 kilos of cannabis

R v C – Multi handed £1million Conspiracy to supply cannabis involving 10 defendants

R v H & A – Represented both defendants originally arrested for affray. Sole evidence consisted of 3 police officers on duty providing eye witness testimony – Judge dismissed the case after successful half time submission of no case to answer

R v S – Multi handed robbery. Crown offer no evidence after Defence submissions

R v W – Multi handed affray involving a family of 6 defendants.

R v K – Multi handed drug conspiracy featuring 8 defendants involved 1 ½ tonnes of shipment

R v O – Multi handed arson with intent to set fire to a school by 13 yr old youths

R v O – Practising Solicitor conveyancing fraud of £1.5 million

R v S – Multi handed Conspiracy benefit fraud involving 6 defendants. Successful submissions by Defence resulted in Crown offering no evidence on the conspiracy and defendant accepting simple offence of fraud and receiving non-custodial sentence

R-v- S – Defendant travelling on inbound flight from Chechnya – detained at Heathrow under Terrorism Act – without arrest. Subsequently released from custody following advice received from Defence

Mo is a leading defence advocate with particular expertise in high profile and complex cases, with a focus on privately funded clients; he has developed considerable experience defending in a multitude of specialist disciplines including Financial Conduct Authority prosecutions, cases initiated by the Office of the Attorney General, and also the Serious Fraud Office.

Mo has successfully represented a line of corporate clients and regularly receives instructions from professional clients, including those in the legal profession; he deals with cases in a wide range of courts and Tribunals, including Appellate courts.

Mo has co-defended clients before the European Court of Human Rights resisting allegations of contempt of court and improper disclosure by a Jury Foreman and a National Media Outlet.

More recently Mo was instructed to defend a Deputy Head of State of a foreign Government in proceedings described by the prosecution as the most serious case of its nature ever to come before the English courts.
